2023, Inner Mongolia Kubuqi Hydrogen Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd. announced for the first time the environmental impact assessment of the project of using green electricity and green hydrogen to produce 100000 tons of green liquid ammonia annually. Previously, in February 2023, the project was put on record. According to

public information, the project is located in Yiliguang Hydrogenation Industrial Park, North Project Area of Duguitala Industrial Park, Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a scale of 100000 tons of synthetic ammonia plant. The total investment is 245 million yuan . The project covers an area of 40 mu. Construction of liquid ammonia synthesis unit, supporting ammonia storage unit and public auxiliary facilities.

Previously, in the first quarter of 2023, the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued a notice to implement 15 demonstration projects of integration of wind and solar hydrogen production. These include the Ordos Kubuqi 400000 kilowatt wind and solar hydrogen production integration demonstration project with a total investment of 2.945 billion yuan, which is implemented by Inner Mongolia Kubuqi Green Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

Ordos Kubuqi 400000 kW Wind and Solar Hydrogen Production Integration Demonstration Project constructs 250MW wind power, 150MW photovoltaic and electrochemical energy storage for 40MW/40MWh, and converts hydrogen storage into 205000 kW/5 hours. It produces 15,460 tons of green hydrogen annually, which is sold to downstream green manure enterprises. The project is planned to start in June 2023 and put into operation in August 2024. Inner Mongolia Kubuqi Lvdian Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. implements the Ordos Kubuqi 400MW Wind and Solar Hydrogen Production Integrated Demonstration Project, which produces 15,460 tons of green hydrogen annually and sells it to Inner Mongolia Kubuqi Hydrogen Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd. for the production of 100,000 tons/year green ammonia. The total investment of the two projects is about 3.2 billion yuan.
