Six people were killed and five injured in the collapse of the tower crane during the jacking of the Jinjianren Expressway Bridge across the Tuojiang River.

On September 13, the official microblog of the Transportation Bureau of Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, issued an information circular:

On the morning of September 13, the tower crane of the Jinjianren Expressway Bridge across the Tuojiang River, which was constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., collapsed during the jacking process, resulting in six deaths and five injuries. The injured are being treated in hospital and their vital signs are stable. After the incident, Jianyang City immediately set up an on-site emergency response headquarters to carry out disposal and rescue work. At present, the investigation and rehabilitation of the accident are being carried out in an orderly manner.
