Recently, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council issued the Handbook of Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievements of Central Enterprises (2022 edition). Relying on the research platform of China Building Material Glass New Material Research Institute, China Building Material Triumph Technology Group has successfully selected the advanced generation (8.5 generation) TFT-LCD glass substrate independently developed and produced into the "key material" field classification.
The manual is organized by the Science and Technology Creation Bureau of SASAC to collect and select scientific and technological innovation achievements, and is issued after enterprise recommendation and expert evaluation, aiming at accelerating the application and promotion of scientific and technological innovation achievements of central enterprises and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into real productive forces. generation glass substrate is the key material of advanced generation LCD panel, which has the characteristics of large size, good thermal stability, high mechanical strength, strong chemical resistance, less surface and internal defects, etc. Its quality and performance have a vital impact on the resolution, transmittance, refresh rate, viewing angle and other qualities of the display panel. The production control accuracy is comparable to that of the semiconductor industry, representing the highest level in the field of large-scale manufacturing of modern glass in the world.
This achievement has achieved a breakthrough of "zero" in advanced generation electronic glass substrates in China, making China third country in the world to master the production technology of advanced generation TFT-LCD glass substrates after the United States and Japan. The project pioneered a new forming process of "precious metal runner ultra-thin float" with independent intellectual property rights, invented the chemical composition and formula of electronic glass suitable for float process, conquered the core technologies of high efficiency melting, composite clarificatio n and cascade thinning, realized the complete localization of key equipment, and realized the formation of "precious metal runner ultra-thin float". It fills the gap of independent production of advanced generation LCD glass substrates in China, and is of great significance to ensure the safety of the trillion-level information display industry chain.
