Thomas Guillot, CEO of GCCA, had in-depth exchanges on promoting carbon emission reduction in the global cement industry and promoting low-carbon environmental transformation in the cement industry.

The two sides discussed in depth the policy, standard, technology, social and cultural factors involved in promoting "net zero emission" in the cement industry, and discussed the key nodes of carbon emission measurement and monitoring, carbon sink and carbon trading in the cement industry. Thomas shared the relevant experience of Europe and other regions, and Li Xinhua introduced the exploration and thinking of China Building Materials Group. Through communication, both sides hope to further strengthen communication in the future, promote more collaboration among large enterprises in the global cement industry, upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, research institutions, associations, governments and other stakeholders through the GCCA platform, and continuously promote the sustainable development of the global cement and concrete industry. discussion, Li Ning, General Manager of Safety and Environmental Protection Department of China Building Materials Group, introduced the specific progress of the Group in promoting carbon emission reduction. China Building Materials Group continues to implement the goal of "double carbon" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, actively practices the concept of "green water and green hills are Jinshan and Yinshan", adheres to the working principles of "carbon reduction at the source, carbon reduction at the process, carbon fixation at the end and carbon management throughout the process", and comprehensively promotes energy efficiency improvement and new energy transformation on existing cement production lines. A number of green factories and green mines have been built.
