China Cement Network, delivered a speech. He said that in this harvest season, our cement industry is "chilly". In the first half of the year, the national cement output was 953 million tons, with a year-on-year decline of 2.4%, a total profit of only 16.5 billion yuan, a sharp decline of 60%, and a loss of nearly 50%. The industry as a whole is facing the pressure of high inventory, high cost and serious overcapacity. Cement enterprises are increasingly aware that energy saving, cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency enhancement are "life-saving measures". It is also a measure of "life renewal".

He pointed out that in the future, cement enterprises need to closely follow the guidance of national policies, play the role of scientific and technological innovation, continue to achieve breakthroughs in raw material and fuel substitution, carbon capture, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, solid hazardous waste disposal, carbon asset management and other aspects, and strive to answer the "double carbon" era issues, to help the cement industry move towards green low-carbon cycle development.

This is the harvest season, but our cement industry is "chilly". In the first half of the year, the national cement output was 953 million tons, down 2.4% year-on-year, the total profit was only 16.5 billion yuan, down 60% year-on-year, and the loss of enterprises was close to 50%. The industry as a whole is facing the pressure of high inventory, high cost and serious overcapacity. Cement enterprises are more and more aware that energy saving, cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency enhancement are not only "life-saving" measures, but also "life-renewing" measures.

At the same time, the policy requirements for energy conservation and carbon reduction are further clarified. On July 11, at the second meeting of the Central Committee for Comprehensive Deepening Reform, the Opinions on Promoting the Dual Control of Energy Consumption to Gradually Shift to the Dual Control of Carbon Emissions were considered and adopted. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Ministry of Housing and Construction have also jointly issued the Implementation Plan of Carbon Peak in Building Materials Industry. It can be said that energy saving, carbon reduction and green development have become the call of the times and the consensus of the industry.

In the future, cement enterprises need to closely follow the guidance of national policies, play the role of scientific and technological innovation, continue to achieve breakthroughs in raw material and fuel substitution, carbon capture, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, solid hazardous waste disposal, carbon asset management and other aspects, strive to answer the "double carbon" era issues, and help the cement industry to move towards green low-carbon cycle development.
