Recently, Kaixin Company, a subsidiary of Nanning Jiaotou Kaitong Industrial Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Nanning Jiaotou Kaitong"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nanning Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Nanning Jiaotou Kaitong"), obtained the Reply of the Ministry of Transport on the Use of Port Deepwater Shoreline in Phase I Project of Gaoshan Operating Area of Liujing Port Area of Nanning Port. It means that the project will enter the construction stage.
It is understood that the first phase project of Gaoshan Operating Area in Liujing Port Area of Nanning Port is a supporting project for waterway transportation of products and raw materials of 3.7 million square meters of high-quality granite building aggregate project in Nanxiang, Hengzhou City, Kaixin Company. With a total investment of 180 million yuan, the project plans to build four 3000-ton bulk cargo berths, using 427.5 meters of wharf shoreline, with an annual customs clearance capacity of 6.32 million tons. In December
2020, Nanning Kaixin New Materials Co., Ltd. won the mining right of granite mine for construction in Shilonglu mining area of Hengxian County, Guangxi with 761 million yuan. The resource reserve within the transfer scope of the mining area is 179 million tons, the production scale is 3.7 million square meters per year, and the transfer period is 15.2 years. The energy-saving report of the project was reviewed and approved in September 2022, and it is expected to be put into operation in July 2023.
The wharf project is located on the right bank of Yujiang River in Nanxiang Town, Hengzhou City, Nanning, along the high mountain section of Liujing Port Area of Nanning Port planned in the Master Plan of Nanning Port (2035). It is about 110 kilometers away from Yongning Cascade, 14 kilometers away from Xijin Water Conservancy Project and 16 kilometers away from Hengzhou City. After
completion and commissioning, the terminal scale and capacity of Liujing Port Area, the core port area of Nanning Port, will be further enhanced, which can reasonably divert the cargo volume of other terminals and effectively alleviate the problem of insufficient water transport scale and capacity of Nanning Port. At the same time, it is conducive to optimizing the industrial layout, meeting the needs of local economic development and the requirements of environmental protection and comprehensive utilization of resources. It is of great significance for Nanning to speed up the construction of comprehensive transportation network, consolidate the foundation of smooth internal and external development, continuously promote the development of seaward economy and comprehensively promote industrial revitalization, and promote the high-quality development of emerging industries in Nanning.
