Cement is an indispensable basic building material in engineering construction, if the measurement is insufficient, it will seriously affect the quality of the project, and even threaten the personal safety of consumers. In order to further standardize the order of cement sales, ensure the quality and safety of cement, and create a good measurement environment for people's livelihood, Lianjiang Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Guangdong Province recently organized a special action on the measurement and inspection of cement quantitative packaging to further strengthen the line of defense for fair and reassuring consumption.
It is understood that since May this year, the law enforcement officers of the Bureau have conducted a thorough investigation in Tangpeng, Yatang, Shiling and other towns to find out the basic situation of cement sales, and then joined Lianjiang Quality and Technical Supervision and Inspection Institute to carry out law enforcement inspection on packaged cement dealers. This action is mainly to check whether the operator has obtained the legal sales qualification, whether the cement sold is purchased from the legal channel, whether the net content, production date and batch number, product name and production license number of the quantitatively packaged goods are correctly and clearly marked on the prominent position of the cement packaging bag, especially whether there is any illegal act of short weight measurement. By May 16, the Bureau had dispatched 45 law enforcement officers to conduct a sampling inspection of the net content of eight batches of bagged cement suspected of being short in weight, and will conduct further verification and disposal according to the results of the report to severely crack down on the illegal acts of short in weight. The responsible person of the Bureau said that it would continue to strengthen supervision, make every effort to standardize the measurement order of the cement industry, and earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
