Reporters recently learned from Yantai Natural Resources and Planning Bureau that the "Special Plan for the Development and Utilization of Sand and Stone Resources in Yantai City (2021-2025)" was officially issued. According to the "Plan", the development, utilization and protection of sand and stone in Yantai City will be further clarified during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and the mining rights of sand and stone minerals for construction in Yantai City will be controlled at 28. The total amount of annual mining is controlled at 73 million tons, and four key development areas of sand and gravel industry, such as Fushan Zhongqiao-Penglai Xingshan Limestone Development Base, are planned.
By the end of 2020, Yantai had developed and utilized 9 kinds of sand and gravel minerals, 23 mining rights, with a total mining volume of 5.966 million tons and an output value of 13186. The Plan is applicable to the area under the jurisdiction of Yantai City, and the object is the sand and stone mineral resources within the jurisdiction of Yantai City.
In view of the development, utilization and protection layout of sand and gravel resources, the Plan proposes that Yantai will plan four key development areas of sand and gravel industry. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the limestone development base in Fushan Zhongqiao-Penglai Xingshan area is planned to set up one limestone mine for cement and three limestone mines for building stones, with a mining scale of 4 million tons per year, to build a large-scale professional building materials processing, production and exhibition base with cement-green building materials-assembly building integration as the main industry. Haiyanghang Village, the sand and gravel development base for construction in Xiujiakuang area, promotes the establishment of sand and gravel resources mining rights with a production scale of more than 5 million tons, and strives to cultivate and build a large-scale sand and gravel resources production base. Laizhou Zhacun Stone Development Base plans to set up 11 granite mines for decoration, with an estimated mining scale of over 3 million cubic meters per year. A bentonite mine is planned to be set up in the bentonite development base in Baitengkou area of Laiyang, with a planned mining scale of 200,000 tons/year.
