On May 10, Jingzhou Base of Sand Administration Bureau of Hubei Water Conservancy Department, Yichang Water Administration Supervision Detachment, Enshi Prefecture Water Conservancy Fee Collection and Management Station, Water Administration Supervision Detachment, Badong County Water Conservancy Bureau, Chengfa Group and other departments (enterprises) formed a joint law enforcement team. A joint law enforcement action code-named "2023-Linkage 2" was launched to crack down on illegal sand mining in the Yichang-Badong section of the main stream of the Yangtze River, consolidate the achievements of sand mining management and form a good pattern of sand mining management in the Yangtze River. At the junction of Badong and Zigui waters, the
joint law enforcement team transferred to Badong County's "Eshui Zhengjian 63" law enforcement boat to inspect the waters of Badong section of the Yangtze River upstream. The joint law enforcement team focused on the centralized berthing points of sand mining vessels in Dongkou Town and Guandukou Town, and the waters at the junction of Badong County and Wushan County. At present, the management order of sand mining in the Badong section of the Yangtze River is stable and controllable, and no illegal sand-related vessels have been found to be detained, illegally carrying sand and stone materials without legal sources, and illegal sand mining.
In recent years, Badong County has strengthened the control of the source of sand dredgers, set up centralized berthing points for sand dredgers in Guandukou and Dongkou of the Yangtze River, and implemented centralized berthing management for sand dredgers. Up to now, 589 kilometers of the Yangtze River have been inspected, 23 inspections have been carried out and 2 joint inspections have been carried out; Vehicles were dispatched 23 times, law enforcement boats were dispatched 6 times, law enforcement officers were dispatched 147 times, and one case of sand mining was transferred by superiors. Next, Badong will make full use of the working system of river chief system and police chief system to collect and grasp information quickly and accurately, crack down on water-related violations and maintain normal water order.
