2023 is the first year to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the year of economic recovery and development after the three-year COVID-19 epidemic. The Party Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core, has United and led the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country to withstand external pressures and overcome internal difficulties, focusing on expanding domestic demand, optimizing the structure, boosting confidence, preventing and defusing risks, promoting China's economic recovery and moving forward along the track of high-quality development.

In 2023, the development of the cement industry will face unprecedented challenges: insufficient market demand, serious overcapacity, declining industry revenue, and serious losses of some enterprises. In order to cope with the difficulties, under the guidance and coordination of the competent authorities at all levels and industry associations, the cement industry has made great efforts to strengthen industry self-discipline and firmly promote off-peak production; explored the integration of cement industry and intelligent manufacturing, accelerated industrial upgrading through digital empowerment; implemented ultra-low emissions, energy saving and carbon reduction, and promoted the green development of the industry.
