From January 11 to 13, the Water Conservancy Bureau of Fuyang City, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Transportation Bureau (Maritime Affairs), the Huaihe River Administration Bureau and the water conservancy bureaus of the counties and cities along the river launched a special campaign to crack down on illegal sand mining during the two sections of the Huaihe River (Fuyang Section) and the Yinghe River.
This joint law enforcement action mainly investigates the prominent problems that endanger the health and life of rivers and lakes, such as disorderly occupation, construction, piling, mining and discharging of rivers and lakes. At the same time, it publicizes water laws and regulations such as the Water Law of the People's Republic of China, the Measures for the Management of Sand Mining in Rivers of Anhui Province and the Anti-Organized Crime Law of the People's Republic of China to the people along the river. The operation dispatched 120 law enforcement officers, 20 law enforcement vehicles, 15 law enforcement vessels and 450 kilometers of river patrol, forming a strong deterrent force.
Next, the water administrative departments at all levels in Fuyang City will further study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thought of rule of law, consolidate the responsibility of river sand mining management, continue to strengthen cooperation with public security departments, form a joint force, increase the frequency of inspection, maintain a high-pressure crackdown on illegal sand mining, and crack down on sporadic illegal sand mining. Make every effort to create a good water environment and river management order, firmly promote river water safety, and ensure that the city's river management order is stable and good during the "two sections".
