on May 9, with a crisp closing sound, Qianye Cement Zero Carbon Mine supporting photovoltaic power generation project was successfully connected to the grid, marking that the company has taken a solid step in building the first zero carbon mine in China.

It is understood that the photovoltaic power generation project of Qianye Cement Zero Carbon Mine was entrusted to Jiaozuo Runshi New Energy Co., Ltd. for investment and construction, which began on February 7, 2023, and was located in Fangzhuang Mining Company's technical transformation well yard, covering an area of about 99.44 mu . The total investment of the project is 27 million yuan, the total installed capacity is 5.99 MW, 2083 photovoltaic slab strip foundations, 162 pipe pile foundations, 15 inverters and 2 box transformers have been completed. After three months of intensive construction, photovoltaic power generation has been successfully connected to the grid.

"The project is expected to generate 6.45 million kWh of electricity annually, and the green electricity generated will be transmitted to Qianye Mine for equipment and facilities through the coking coal grid, which provides a strong support for building the first batch of carbon-neutral and zero-carbon non-coal mines in China." Qianye Cement General Manager Zheng Bo said.
