On January 15, with the successful pouring of the last concrete, the main concrete structure of Yibin Station Building of Ziyi Railway, which was constructed by the Third Bureau of China Railway, was capped, marking that the project construction has achieved phased results.

"Next, we will enter the construction stage of steel structure and masonry structure in an all-round way, laying a solid foundation for the successful completion of the construction task in 2023." Hong Wu, manager of Yibin Station Building and related projects of China Railway Third Bureau Group, told reporters.

The project was officially started in May 2022. In the process of construction, there are many engineering difficulties, such as tight construction period, difficult coordination, complex design of decoration and mechanical and electrical installation engineering, and high construction requirements. Hong Wu said: "The steel structure roof of the station building is a spherical grid structure with a maximum span of 81 meters. During the installation process, the accuracy needs to be controlled within 1 cm to ensure the safety and beauty of the overall structure of the station building."

It is understood that Yibin Station has five platforms and twelve lines. The station building consists of three parts: the west side station building, the elevated station building and the east side station building. The building area is 47,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of six standard football fields, which is four times that of the existing Yibin West Station. At present, the project has completed 40% of the total project volume, and it is estimated that by 2040, the peak hour delivery volume will be about 6000, and the annual passenger delivery volume will be 10.64 million.

The reporter also learned from the Railway Construction Office of Yibin City that in 2022, a total of 9.214 billion yuan was invested in the railway of Yibin City, and the number of completed investment, the number of projects under construction and the number of new mileage all reached a record high.
