In order to effectively strengthen the management of river sand mining in Xianning City and effectively curb and severely crack down on illegal sand mining, from January 10 to 12, 2022, the Municipal Water Conservancy and Lake Bureau organized a joint law enforcement action on river sand mining in the whole city ( "2023-Linkage No.1"). In accordance with the general requirements of unified deployment, unified time, unified organization and unified action, the
joint law enforcement action conducts law enforcement inspections on rivers, lakes and reservoirs with sand mining management tasks in the city. In this law enforcement operation, 66 law enforcement officers, 15 vehicles and 3 law enforcement boats were dispatched. Spanning four cities (counties), the total mileage of the operation is more than 260 kilometers, focusing on the inspection of key river sections, sensitive waters, centralized berthing points of sand mining vessels and on-site supervision of key projects in the waters of small and medium-sized rivers such as the Yangtze River and the Lushui River in Xianning City, as well as the improvement of law enforcement efficiency in cities (counties), the investigation of criminal clues in the field of sand mining, and the daily supervision of accounts.
In order to ensure the effectiveness of the action and timely investigation and punishment of sand-related violations, the action also invited the Land and Water Test Hub Administration, Changhang Public Security and Yangtze River Maritime Affairs to participate in the action.
Next, the city will further strengthen the management of river sand mining and the protection of water ecological environment, focus on improving the construction of law enforcement team, and take this joint law enforcement action as an opportunity to make the management of river sand mining in Xianning City to a new level.
