The emission standards of particulate matter, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides in cement kiln and waste heat utilization system are respectively 10, 50 and 100mg/m3 in Phase I and 10, 35 and 50 mg/m3 in Phase II.

On December 13, 2023, the People's Government

of Zhejiang Province issued the Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Cement Industry, which came into effect on January 13, 2024.

This standard stipulates the requirements for air pollutant emission control, monitoring and supervision of cement manufacturing enterprises (including independent grinding stations), cement raw material mines, bulk cement/ clinker transfer stations, cement products enterprises and their production facilities.

Among them, the emission standards of particulate matter, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides in cement kiln and waste heat utilization system are 10, 50 and 100 mg/ m3 in stage I and 10, 35 and 50 mg/ m3 in stage II, respectively.

Including 14 cement enterprises, Jiangsu Province issued a list of key units in the carbon emissions trading market in 2027.

Recently, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province announced the list of key emission units in the national carbon emission trading market in Jiangsu Province in 2027. A total of 262 subjects were included in the control, of which 14 were selected from the cement sub-industry, distributed in Nanjing, Wuxi, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Yancheng and Zhenjiang, including Nanjing Zhonglian Cement, Jiangsu Xinning New Building Materials, China Cement Plant, etc. The announcement of the list means that the relevant cement enterprises will be included in the quota management and performance scope of the national carbon market in 2027.
