On August 18, the first solar energy cracking water hydrogen production project in Shaanxi Province, Yulin Zhongweizhi Hydrogen New Energy Co., Ltd., was approved for filing.
The project is located in the southern part of Hengshan Industrial Park, with a total investment of 6.68 million yuan, and is scheduled to start in March 2024. The project covers a total area of 69 mu , including 54 mu of hydrogen production area and 15 mu of hydrogenation area. The project adopts the solar dish photothermal cracking water hydrogen production process. The project plans to produce 80 sets of photothermal hydrogen production discs, with a hydrogen production capacity of 365 tons per year , and supporting skid-mounted hydrogenation station and corresponding supporting facilities. The hydrogen produced is only used by the hydrogenation station.
It is understood that solar energy cracking water to produce hydrogen refers to the process of using solar energy to decompose water into hydrogen and oxygen, thus obtaining hydrogen technology. The energy consumption of hydrogen production from water by solar energy is only one percent of that of fuel cells. Compared with traditional catalytic hydrolysis technology, hydrogen production from water by solar energy has the advantages of low energy consumption and strong controllability. It is a powerful technical means for clean energy to achieve carbon emission reduction, and also a key technology for the current development of energy conversion and new energy power system.
