Marine police law enforcement officers immediately revealed their law enforcement identity by broadcasting and shouting, and asked them to stop the ship for inspection. The ship refused to stop, but also attempted to speed up the escape, the marine police law enforcement officers made a prompt decision, against the wind and waves by force to help jump, successfully controlled the ship.
After investigation, the ship carried about 3300 tons of sea sand, and the personnel were unable to provide relevant procedures, suspected of illegal mining and transportation of sea sand. At present, the Fuzhou Maritime Police Bureau has seized the ships and sea sand involved in the case according to law, and arrested 11 people involved in the case, and the case is being further investigated.
Fuzhou Maritime Police Bureau reminds that sea sand belongs to state-owned mineral resources, and units and individuals need to be approved by relevant departments before they can legally exploit it. They should not take risks to participate in illegal and criminal activities such as illegal mining of sea sand because of high profits.
