Recently, the Department of Natural Resources of Shanxi Province held an expert review meeting to review the "Code for Ecological Restoration of Mines in Shanxi Province" (hereinafter referred to as the "Code") drafted by the Shanxi Geological Environment Monitoring and Ecological Restoration Center. After strict review and discussion, the experts of the expert group unanimously agreed that the "Code" passed the review.
At the meeting, the expert group discussed the contents of the Code and proposed amendments. The expert group believes that the Code conforms to the provisions of laws and regulations such as the Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China and the Measures for the Management of Local Standards, and has strong applicability and operability in supporting the ecological restoration of Shanxi's territorial space and guiding the management and practice of the ecological restoration of mines.
The Code specifies the basic principles, general requirements, exploration and design, restoration measures, monitoring and management, project review, benefit evaluation, project acceptance and other contents of mine ecological restoration, and gives detailed standard requirements and practical operation measures from the aspects of preliminary investigation preparation, mid-term implementation and post-acceptance of mine ecological restoration work. The Code is applicable to the treatment and restoration of mining ecological environment damage in Shanxi Province, and the mine ecological restoration work in the process of mineral resources exploitation can be implemented by reference.
