Zhejiang Province: Strictly control the production capacity of cement clinker and withdraw from a batch of clinker production lines with a capacity of 2500 tons/day or less

According to the official website of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, on January 5, Zhejiang Province drafted the "Three-year Action Plan for Eliminating Polluted Weather and Diesel Truck Pollution Control in Zhejiang Province (Draft for Consultation)". According to

the plan, the main tasks include resolutely curbing the blind development of high energy consumption, high emission and low-level projects, strictly implementing the requirements of national industrial planning, industrial policy, "three lines and one single", planning environmental assessment, capacity replacement, coal consumption reduction substitution and regional pollutant reduction. We will promote the merger and reorganization of iron and steel enterprises, accelerate the improvement of industrial concentration, and reduce the number of iron and steel smelting enterprises to about 10. We will promote the all-scrap electric furnace process, promote the transformation of long-process steelmaking into short-process steelmaking, and reduce the capacity of long-process steelmaking by more than 1.5 million tons. The Company will strictly control the production capacity of cement clinker and withdraw from a batch of clinker production lines with a capacity of 2,500 tons per day or less. The Company will continue to promote normal peak-alternation production of cement based on the local reality and the demand for improvement of ambient air quality.
