Datengxia Project is a key control water conservancy project in the Pearl River Basin, which integrates flood control, navigation, power generation, water resources allocation, irrigation and other comprehensive benefits. The flood control project of the Gansu section of the Yellow River

. The flood control project of the Maqu County section of the Yellow River in Gannan Prefecture has passed the completion acceptance recently, marking that the flood control project of the Gansu section of the Yellow River has been fully completed and put into operation.
The project is one of the 172 major water conservancy projects for water saving and water supply determined by the State Council. The project involves 15 counties (districts) in four cities (prefectures) of Gannan, Linxia, Lanzhou and Baiyin in Gansu Province, with a total of 327 kilometers of shoreline along the main stream of the Yellow River, with an estimated total investment of 3.397 billion yuan. The project started construction in October 2015 and was fully completed by the end of 2020. After putting into operation, it will effectively protect the flood control safety of Lanzhou, the provincial capital, Jingyuan County of Baiyin City and Yongjing County of Linxia Prefecture, as well as 3.17 million urban and rural people and 530000 mu of cultivated land and grassland along the coast, curb soil erosion, improve the water ecological environment, and achieve remarkable flood control, social and ecological benefits, which will provide strong support for the ecological protection and high quality development of the Yellow River Basin in Gansu Province.
On January 1, the Wangjiawan Tunnel of the
Water Resources Allocation Project in Western Chongqing, a major livelihood water conservancy project in Chongqing, was successfully completed. The project is one of the 150 major water conservancy projects approved by the State Council for implementation from 2020 to 2022, and the national "14th Five-Year Plan" calls for speeding up the construction of key national water network projects.
Wangjiawan Tunnel, located in Qitang Town, Bishan District, started excavation in October 2021, with a total length of 2235 meters. The maximum buried depth of the tunnel is about 50m, and the minimum buried depth is about 10m. The tunnel is of the city gate type, and the typical excavation section size is 2.7m × 2.9m. The tunnel is located in a complex geological structure, mainly composed of sandstone, argillaceous siltstone and mudstone, with broken rock mass and poor stability. It has the characteristics of many shallow buried sections, many buildings along the line and complex construction conditions. In order to ensure the construction progress and safety, the construction unit adopted the construction technology of combining the mechanical excavation of cantilever roadheader with drilling and blasting method. of Tingzikou Irrigation District is not only one of the 172 major water conservancy projects for water saving and water supply determined by the State Council, but also a supporting project of Tingzikou Water Conservancy Project on Jialing River, which has comprehensive functions of agricultural irrigation, urban and rural production and domestic water supply. The project is an important part of the "five horizontal and six vertical" water diversion and replenishment ecological water network in Sichuan Province, involving 11 counties (districts) in Guangyuan, Nanchong, Guang'an and Dazhou, with a designed irrigation area of 1.3594 million mu and a water supply population of 2.45 million. After the completion of the first phase project of Tingzikou Irrigation District, it will effectively alleviate the uneven distribution of water resources and the low utilization rate of development in Northeast Sichuan, which is of great significance to improve the comprehensive agricultural production capacity in Northeast Sichuan.
