Azuo Banner River Chief Office Joint Law Enforcement Department to Carry out Special Supervision and Inspection of River Sand Mining

In order to further strengthen the management of river sand mining, ensure the stability of river regime, flood control safety, ecological safety and social stability, standardize the order of river sand mining, and ensure the effective exploitation of river sand and gravel, on August 22, the Azuo Banner River Chief Office and the Agricultural Executive Bureau of Bayanhot Town jointly carried out special supervision and inspection on the river sand quarries within their jurisdiction.

The special inspection was carried out in a "double random and one open" way. Through on-the-spot inspection and on-site inquiry, the inspection team learned about the current situation of river sand mining management and the water ecological environment along the river shoreline of Zhongkai sand quarry and Aotong sand quarry enterprises in Azuo Banner.

The inspection team emphasized that we must resolutely curb the chaos of illegal sand mining in rivers, strengthen the management and protection of rivers, maintain the order of sand mining in rivers, standardize sand mining according to the requirements of permits, and resolutely investigate and punish the illegal sand mining beyond the scope of sand mining according to law, so as to ensure the safety of flood discharge in rivers.

Through this joint inspection, the relevant laws and policies of river sand mining have been publicized to relevant enterprises, the supervision and management responsibilities have been conscientiously fulfilled, the coordinated law enforcement efforts of departments have been strengthened, the order of river sand mining has been further improved, the management mechanism of sand mining has been improved, and the river landscape has been continuously improved. Qihe Chang Office will urge relevant Sumu towns to further strengthen river inspection, strengthen law enforcement of river sand mining, severely crack down on illegal river sand mining, effectively maintain the stability of river regime and ensure the safety of river flood discharge.
