In July, Chongqing produced 17.4658 million tons of sand and gravel for construction, an increase of 1.6% over the previous month and 18.1% over the same period last year. During the month, the ten-day production was generally better, with the output of 5.6319 million tons, 5.84 million tons and 5.9939 million tons respectively in the first, middle and last ten days, which increased by 2.8%, 1.7% and 0.5% respectively compared with the ten-day production of the previous month.
In July, the price of sand and gravel for construction in Chongqing dropped to a low level, with the average price of gravel pithead 35.70 yuan/ton, down 0.8% from the previous month and 4.1% from the same period last year. The average pithead price of machine-made sand was 36.95 yuan/ton, down 1.7% from last month and 11.6% from the same period last year, and the machine-made sand fell below 37 yuan/ton for the first time. of sub-areas, the gravel pithead prices in the main urban area and northeastern Chongqing fell by 1.2% and 0.1% respectively compared with the previous month, while those in southeastern Chongqing rose slightly by 1.8%; In terms of machine-made sand, the rise and fall of each area varied, with a slight drop of 1.7% in the main urban area and 4.7% in the northeast of Chongqing, which lowered the pithead price of machine-made sand in the whole city, and a slight rise of 5.0% in the southeast of Chongqing.
From the perspective of time sequence, the price of gravel in the first, middle and last ten days is relatively stable, with a rise and fall of 1.40 yuan, 1.26 yuan and 1.47 yuan respectively; the price of machine-made sand in the middle ten days is relatively stable, with a slight fluctuation in the first and last ten days, with a rise and fall of 2.53 yuan, 1.78 yuan and 2.71 yuan respectively.
In July, the production of sand and gravel for construction in the city increased slightly, the price of sand and gravel fell at a low level, and the market continued to be depressed: First, affected by high temperature and heavy rainfall, the construction progress of downstream construction sites and mixing stations slowed down, affecting the market; Second, the investment in infrastructure construction slowed down. In July, the investment in key projects at the municipal level was 41.27 billion yuan, a decrease of 26.7% compared with the previous month, which was insufficient to support the demand for sand and gravel. Third, in the early stage of mine construction, mining enterprises were in urgent need of repayment, and some mines seized market share at low prices. In August, the temperature is still in a state of high temperature. In the forecast of the Meteorological Bureau, the highest temperature in 28 days is 37 ℃. The construction of downstream construction sites and mixing stations will be affected, and the demand will continue to be under pressure. It is expected that the subsequent demand price of sand and gravel will remain weak.
