On August 18, Ambassador Wang Yajun led diplomats of the Chinese Embassy in the DPRK to visit Daan Friendship Glass Factory. Wang and his delegation visited the historical exhibition room, melting furnace, main production line workshop, automation control room and glass cutting line of the glass factory, and listened in detail to the introduction of the development history, production technology and development status of the glass factory by Director Lu Yi. Wang said that since the Daan Friendship Glass Factory was built and put into operation 18 years ago, it has made important contributions to promoting the socialist construction of the DPRK and improving the quality of life of the DPRK people. It is hoped that the factory will produce more and better products to meet the growing market demand and achieve new and greater development. The factory has long played a positive role in promoting China-DPRK friendship and is a new symbol of China-DPRK friendship in the 21st century. It is hoped that the factory will further expand exchanges and cooperation with China and make new contributions to the cause of friendly cooperation between China and the DPRK.

Daan Friendship Glass Factory, located on the bank of the Taedong River in Daan County, Nampo City, North Korea, is a modern glass factory assisted by China. The factory was completed and put into operation in October 2005, and is the largest comprehensive glass production base in North Korea.
