Chengdu CNBM Cadmium Telluride Power Generation Glass Won the "Product Carbon Footprint Certificate"

Recently, Chengdu China Building Materials Photoelectric Materials Co., Ltd. Cadmium Telluride Power Generation Glass was awarded the "Product Carbon Footprint Certificate". This certification not only proves the credibility of the carbon footprint process of Chengdu CNBM cadmium telluride power generation glass products, reflects the environmental awareness and social responsibility of enterprises, but also continuously strengthens the competitiveness of cadmium telluride power generation glass in the field of low-carbon environmental protection, and injects strong impetus and vitality into the high-quality development of enterprises.

Product carbon footprint refers to the greenhouse gas emissions generated in the whole life cycle of products from raw material mining, processing, transportation and manufacturing. The concept of "carbon footprint" is derived from "ecological footprint", which mainly uses CO2 equivalent (abbreviated as CO2eq) to represent the total greenhouse gas emissions in the process of human production and consumption activities.

  Starting from July 2023, Chengdu China Building Materials carried out carbon footprint accounting and evaluation for cadmium telluride power generation glass products, and the data collection period was from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. The carbon emission value of the product is 290 G CO2eq/W (carbon dioxide emission equivalent per 1 W of electricity produced), which is the leading level in the industry, and the "product carbon footprint certificate" has been obtained.
