Since it entered Jiyuan in 2009 to attract investment, Jiyuan Zhonglian has gone through more than ten years, from overgrown weeds to shady trees, from barren land to birds and flowers, from chilly spring and hot summer to fruitful autumn.
Jiyuan Zhonglian is deeply rooted and developed in Jiyuan, and has grown into the only comprehensive green building materials enterprise in Jiyuan City, which integrates clinker calcination, cement grinding, commercial mixing production, aggregate production, solid waste and hazardous waste disposal.
For example, in terms of mine management, since 2019, Jiyuan Zhonglian has focused on green mining and mine restoration and management, gradually opening up the ecological management chain of integrated protection of mountains, waters, forests, fields, lakes, grasses and sand. With the successful completion of the first and second phases of the restoration project, Zhaozhuang Mine has taken on a new look, and a picture of harmonious coexistence between man and nature is slowly unfolding: Robinia pseudoacacia, Platycladus orientalis, Pinus bungeana and other plants are swaying in the spring breeze, and rabbits, pheasants, badgers and other wild animals regard it as a home for reproduction.. With the deepening of the third phase of the project, it will make up for the shortcomings of the ecological chain around the mining area, and the mountains and waters of Zhaozhuang Mine will be greener and greener. The effect of global ecological function improvement is becoming more and more prominent, which will play a leading role in the further improvement of local ecological governance in Jiyuan.
On the way to find an effective way to reduce carbon emissions, Jiyuan Zhonglian has pioneered in the cement industry. On the morning of November 14,
2022, the world's first steel slag capture cement kiln flue gas CO2 production line for carbon sequestration auxiliary cementitious materials and low-carbon cement was completed and put into operation in Jiyuan Zhonglian Cement Co., Ltd., Henan Province.
The project uses the dry method of steel slag to capture and utilize CO2 in situ, which can effectively solve the problem of poor stability of steel slag and improve its activity while reducing the emission of CO2 from cement kiln flue gas. The auxiliary cementitious material with high activity and carbon fixation is prepared, which breaks through the bottleneck problem that restricts the large-scale safety and high value-added application of steel slag in cement, concrete, aggregate and other building materials for a long time. does Jiyuan Zhonglian's project have? The project is invested and constructed by Shijing Science and Technology, with a total investment of nearly 100 million yuan. It is divided into two phases. The first phase of the project invests more than 40 million yuan. It consists of a production line of dry in-situ capture and utilization of CO2 from cement kiln flue gas by steel slag and a production line of high-efficiency composite admixture. Each year, 16,000 tons of CO2 from the flue gas at the end of the cement kiln will be directly captured, 300,000 tons of auxiliary cementitious materials for carbon fixation and 300,000 tons of high-efficiency composite admixtures will be produced by utilizing steel slag as a resource. The second phase of the project will build a production line of 300000 tons of high-efficiency composite admixture. After the project is put into operation, the annual output value will be 180 million yuan, the profit and tax will be 32 million yuan, the annual resource utilization of steel slag will be 300000 tons, and the comprehensive carbon reduction will be 250000 tons by reducing the amount of clinker in cement and cement in concrete. The low-carbon project 
of Jiyuan Zhonglian undoubtedly provides a practical sample for the green development of China's building materials industry, especially for the cement industry to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutralization.
