the Dasha River flood, sand and gravel were exposed in some sections of the Xingtai Economic Development Zone. Driven by interests, some illegal mining elements coveted sand and gravel resources, and the phenomenon of sporadic illegal mining rebounded. In order to effectively protect resources, according to the work arrangement of the whole district, the District Water Bureau and the District Public Security Bureau acted quickly to crack down on all kinds of illegal sand mining activities.
On August 18, the District Water Bureau, through river and lake monitoring, tracking and on-site inspection, found that there were two suspected illegal sand storage sites in Yanhe Village, Shahe Town. The district water department immediately cooperated with the district public security sub-bureau, the district market supervision sub-bureau and the relevant towns and villages to carry out joint law enforcement, rushed to the scene for verification, seized about 60 cubic meters of ownerless sand and gravel on the spot, and handed them over to the local towns and villages for disposal according to the procedure, which greatly deterred the illegal mining elements. At the same time, the two town offices along the river were urged to carry out publicity work such as full coverage inspection and sand control.
In the next step, Jingkai District will continue to maintain a high-pressure situation of cracking down on illegal sand mining, and severely crack down on illegal river sand mining by means of squatting on duty, day and night patrols, and surprise operations. At the same time, we should strengthen the publicity and warning education of illegal sand mining, create a good atmosphere for the whole society to resist illegal sand mining, mass participation, mass prevention and mass control, and effectively protect the ecological environment and resources of the jurisdiction.
