Recently, the website of the Bureau of Ecology and Environment of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, issued a document entitled "Approval of the Environmental Impact Report of the Annual Production of 10g W High-Efficiency N-Type (Heterojunction) Battery Project", which indicated that the Bureau had approved the construction of the project after deliberation .
Documents show that the project is located in the New Energy and New Materials Park of Shaerqin Industrial Zone, Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of about 300000 square meters. The total investment of the project is about 6 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of 10g W photovoltaic N-type (heterojunction) cell production line.
The project will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, 2G W will be built, and 4 photovoltaic N-type cell production lines will be built in the 1 # battery workshop, and 4 photovoltaic N-type cell production lines will be reserved;
In the second phase, 8GW, 8 photovoltaic N-type cell production lines will be built in the 2 # battery workshop, and 4 photovoltaic N-type cell production lines will be built in the reserved space in the 1 # battery workshop.
It is understood that Huayao Optoelectronics Hohhot Cell Project was signed on August 8, 2022. The first phase is expected to start construction in the first half of 2023 and be completed and put into operation in 2024; the second phase is expected to start construction in 2024 and be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026.
Prior to this, Huayao Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. has built the first phase of 3GW monocrystalline silicon wafer production project and the second phase of 12GW monocrystalline silicon wafer project in Shaerqin Industrial Park, Hohhot. Among them, the second phase of the project has been put into production on June 20, 2022.
