Brief Analysis of Photovoltaic Glass Export Data in March 2023

2023, China exported 286,700 tons of photovoltaic glass , an increase of 17.40% annually and 89.27% year-on-year; From January to March 2023, the total export volume of photovoltaic glass was 789,800 tons, an increase of 73.36% over the same period last year. Among them, the trade volume flowing to Vietnam was the largest, which was 27 thousand tons, a decrease of 13.10%.

According to specific export trading partners, although Vietnam's demand has decreased recently, it is still the country with the largest export trade volume in China. The TOP5 export trade volume in March was Vietnam, South Korea, the United States, Mexico and India, and South Korea has now become China's second largest export trading country. It is worth mentioning that the demand in Mexico has been increasing recently, and now it has become one of the TOP5. The TOP5 trade volume accounted for 28.11% of the total export volume, and the significant decrease was mainly due to the increasing demand of other countries, and the monthly demand of Southeast Asian countries and European countries as a whole increased year on year.

Compared with February data, Vietnam's trade volume decreased by 13.10% to 27,000 tons, accounting for 9.43% of the total export volume; The trade volume of South Korea was 19,500 tons, accounting for 6.81% of the total export volume, an increase of 9,900 tons over the previous month; the trade volume of the United States was 15,100 tons, accounting for 5.25% of the total export volume, an increase of 3.17% over the previous month; the trade volume of Mexico was 10,400 tons, accounting for 3.64% of the total export volume, an increase of 64.68% over the previous month; India's trade volume increased by 162.00% to 85000 tons, accounting for 2.98% of the total export volume.
