China Construction Eighth Bureau led 18 units to issue new standards for seamless concrete construction in residential construction industry

Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the announcement of "Seamless Construction Standard for Super Long Concrete Structures" (JGJ/T492-2023), which is led by Academician Xiao Xuwen, co-edited by the Eighth Bureau of China Construction and Zhejiang Urban Construction Group, and specifically responsible by the Engineering Research Institute of the Bureau. China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute, East China Architectural Design and Research Institute, Tongji University and other 18 design, construction and university research institutes assisted in the completion, which is one of the industry standards in the field of concrete structure construction in China.

"Standard for Seamless Construction of Super-long Concrete Structures"

and the official announcement

of "Standard" contain six chapters, namely, general principles, terms and symbols, basic provisions, materials, detailed design and construction. The publication of the

Standard provides a basis for the seamless construction of super-long concrete structures in China, and also provides norms and guidance for the scientific and rational construction of large-scale concrete structures in China.
