Huaxin Holds Three Special Industry Standard Seminars on Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutralization

14 August, Huaxin took the lead in compiling three industry standards, namely, Fuel Substitution Project for Cement Clinker Production Based on Technical Specification for Carbon Dioxide Emission Reduction Assessment, Technical Specification for Preparation of Combustible Materials for Pretreatment of Domestic Waste in Cement Kilns and Technical Specification for Co-disposal of Combustible Materials for Pretreatment of Domestic Waste in Cement Kilns. Organize and hold seminars. The competent department of the

three standard projects is the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the centralized unit is the Technical Committee for Comprehensive Standardization of Building Materials Industry. This seminar is an important meeting held after the preparation of the first draft of the standard and the public consultation, following the start-up meeting and the research meeting of the standard-setting work.

China Building Materials Federation, China Cement Association, National Cement Standard Committee, Guojianlianxin, General Institute of Building Materials, China National Inspection, Beijing University of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Sinoma International, Red Lion Cement , Conch Cement, China Resources Cement, Jidong Cement, A total of 31 delegates from 14 units, including Gezhouba Cement, attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Zhou Liwei, Deputy Secretary-General of China Building Materials Federation and Secretary-General of Building Materials Industry Comprehensive Standardization Technical Committee. She fully affirmed the achievements of Huaxin in developing low-carbon technology routes such as alternative fuels, and made contributions to the standardization work of building materials industry by transforming technology through standards. Li Yeqing, Executive Vice President of

China Building Materials Federation and President of the company, thanked the experts and representatives of the participating units for their visits. He pointed out that the cement industry needs to look at the concept of low carbon from the perspective of development, and that alternative fuels, as a necessary stage for the development of the cement industry in various countries, are also an important direction for the low carbon development of the cement industry in China. The alternative fuel industry and standard system are being established in China, and the three low-carbon standards compiled by the company focus on alternative fuels, hoping to promote the development of low-carbon industry through standard-setting research. Yang Hongbing, vice president of the

company, introduced the background of the three industry standards and the necessity of participating in the construction of standards around the theme of alternative fuels. It also reviews the role of the three industry standards and the key working stages in the process of standard compilation. The

standard compilation group reported on the development background and investigation of the three specific standards, the main contents of the standards, the verification situation, the solicitation of opinions and the handling of opinions. The leaders of experts and representatives of cement enterprises and universities at the meeting expressed their approval of the formulation of industry standards led by Huaxin, and fully exchanged the issues of concern in the standards. The industry experts gave all-round guidance to the contents of the standards, which provided a guarantee for the scientificity and professionalism of the development of the industry standards. After this seminar, the standard preparation team will also actively improve the standard development work based on the discussion results to ensure that the standard is submitted for examination with high quality and efficiency and implemented smoothly.

In order to actively respond to the national environmental protection policy and implement the concept of green and low-carbon development, China Cement Network will hold the "2023 Cement'Double Carbon 'Conference and the 10th China Cement Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology Exchange Conference" in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, from September 12 to 13, 2023. The cement industry is moving towards a low-carbon, more energy-saving and greener high-quality development.  

At the same time, the medal ceremony of "2023 Advanced Enterprises of Double Carbon in Cement Industry" and the "Double Carbon" Equipment Exhibition will be held. After the meeting, we will also organize a visit to Jiyuan Zhonglian Cement Co., Ltd. "The world's first production line of carbon sequestration auxiliary cementitious materials and low-carbon cement from flue gas CO2 of steel slag capture cement kiln".
