On April 23, the National Energy Administration released statistics on the national power industry from January to March. Among them, from January to March , the newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 33.66 GW, an increase of 154.81% over the same period. It is worth noting that by the end of March, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic has surpassed hydropower and become the second largest power source in the country.
The National Energy Administration released the statistics
of the national power industry from January to March. By the end of March, the total installed capacity of power generation in China was about 2.62 billion kilowatts, an increase of 9.1% over the same period last year. Of which, the installed capacity of wind power was approximately 380 million kilowatts, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.7%; the installed capacity of solar power was approximately 430 million kilowatts, representing a year-on-year increase of 33.7%.
From January to March, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment in China was 868 hours, 31 hours less than same period last year. In particular, there were 544 hours of hydropower, a decrease of 92 hours over the same period last year; 1,097 hours of thermal power, a decrease of 18 hours over the same period last year; 615 hours of wind power, an increase of 61 hours over the same period last year; 1,864 hours of nuclear power, an increase of 17 hours over the same period last year; and 303 hours of solar power, an increase of 3 hours over the same period last year.
From January to March, the investment in power supply projects of major power generation enterprises in China was 126.4 billion yuan, an increase of 55.2% over the same period last year. Among them, solar power was 52.2 billion yuan, up 177.6% year-on-year; nuclear power was 16.1 billion yuan, up 53.5% year-on-year. Power grid projects completed investment of 66.8 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5% over the same period last year.
