On August 14, the first cell in S2 workshop of Tongwei Solar Energy (Battery) Pengshan Base was successfully offline .

It is reported that Tongwei Solar 32GW High-efficiency Crystalline Silicon Battery Project is located in Qinglong Street, Tianfu New District, Meishan, with a total investment of 12 billion yuan and two phases of construction .

Pengshan Base is the second photovoltaic industry base of Tongwei in Meishan. Among them , the project (Phase I) invested 6 billion yuan, covering 548 mu , to build an intelligent manufacturing plant for high-efficiency crystalline silicon batteries and auxiliary facilities such as environmental protection and warehouses, which can form an annual capacity of 16 GW after completion, and become the largest unit investment intensity and monomer capacity in the same industry. The high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cell intelligent factory with advanced technology was officially started in December 2022 and has been put into operation in the near future.
