Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, launched a centralized campaign to crack down on illegal sand and gravel yards.

In order to further promote the 100-day centralized renovation of illegal sand yards, sand washing yards and gravel yards in Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, on the morning of April 17, Zou Xuebo, deputy secretary of the Lianghua Town Committee and head of the comprehensive administrative law enforcement team, led the team. Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office, Comprehensive Governance Office, Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Office, Economic and Construction Office, Emergency Management Office, Natural Resources Institute and Power Supply Station and other departments jointly enforce the law and carry out centralized rectification actions against illegal sand and gravel yards in Guangchang Village and Simin Village.

On the spot, law enforcement officers carefully check the information on enterprise licenses, land use procedures, wastewater discharge and treatment, rectify all kinds of illegal and irregular acts involving illegal land use, illegal construction, safe production, and standardized management of sites, and require the person in charge of the enterprise to sign a letter of commitment, so as to ensure the safety of the enterprise. It shall be ordered to clean up the site office, workplace, working tools and production materials by itself within the time limit. The rectification action dispatched more than 40 people, one medium-sized excavator, investigated and dealt with four illegal sand mining sites, cleared and demolished an area of about 240 square meters according to law, effectively cracked down on illegal sand piling, sand washing, gravel and illegal mining activities in Huidong County, and effectively curbed the spread of illegal sand and gravel mining.

In the future, Huidong County will further strengthen its organizational leadership, adhere to the close combination of routine law enforcement inspection and centralized renovation actions, crack down on illegal sand mining with a "zero tolerance" attitude, constantly improve the long-term joint law enforcement mechanism, and maintain a good ecological environment.
