On April 17, a reporter from Liangping Daily walked into Liangping Conch Cement Co., Ltd. and saw thousands of photovoltaic panels arranged neatly and standing in the sun on the pool, roof and open space of the factory area, continuously delivering green electricity to the factory area. It is reported that this is the first phase of 3.9 MW new energy photovoltaic power generation project built by the company using solar energy resources.
Cement production often requires a large amount of fossil energy. In June 2022, Conch Cement Company officially launched the 3.9 MW new energy photovoltaic power generation project, which was successfully connected to the grid on February 28 this year. This is the concrete practice of the company to fight the battle of pollution prevention and control, actively implement the "30.60" double carbon target, and respond to the call of energy saving, carbon reduction and green transformation in the cement industry.
Photovoltaic power generation is an ideal clean energy source with no fuel, low operation cost and no pollution waste in the process of power generation. We have installed 7600 photovoltaic panels in the plant area, covering an area of 19000 square meters, with a total installed capacity of 3.9 MW and an annual power generation capacity of about 3.08 million degrees. Compared with thermal power with the same power generation capacity, we can save 985 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 2581 tons, sulfur dioxide by about 8.3 tons and nitrogen oxides by about 7.2 tons. Relevant person in charge of Conch Cement Company introduced that with the operation of the project, the dependence of cement production process on fossil energy has been further reduced, the proportion of new energy generation has been increased, the energy consumption structure has been optimized, and the company's transformation to green and intelligent has been effectively promoted.
At present, Conch Cement Company is preparing the second phase of photovoltaic power generation project, which plans to install 3030 photovoltaic panels with a total installed capacity of 1.65 MW and an annual power generation capacity of 1.7 million degrees. At the same time, the clean project of "annual disposal of 100000 tons of biomass alternative fuel" is also being implemented in an orderly manner. After the project is put into operation, it can make full use of renewable resources such as crop straw and bamboo around Liangping to replace part of the coal combustion to produce clinker , which can save about 50000 tons of coal annually. Greatly enhance the energy "self-sufficiency" capability of enterprises, and promote the sustainable development of green and low-carbon industries.
