On April 11, the berths No.4 to No.7 of the first phase of the Sishui Mine Project of China Electric Power Construction passed the handover acceptance smoothly. The first phase of the project started on March 17, 2022, completed on February 9, 2023, and passed the pre-acceptance on February 11, 2023. The main construction contents include the installation of wharf platform, approach bridge, substation platform, transfer station, steel structure of steel approach bridge and belt conveyor.
It is understood that the Xishui Mine Project plans to build seven new 5000-ton bulk cargo berths with an annual design throughput of 40 million tons, which will be constructed in two phases. Four 5,000-ton bulk cargo berths will be constructed in the first phase of the project. On December 28, 2022, the first phase of the project with an annual output of 20 million tons of sand and gravel in Xishui was officially put into operation.
In the second phase of the project, three 5000-ton bulk cargo berths will be constructed, and three 2500-ton/hour linear rail ship loaders will be equipped. After the completion of the second phase of the project, on the basis of the first phase of the project, the production and transportation capacity of sand and gravel aggregates in the mine will be doubled to 40 million tons per year. Li Weichao, deputy general manager/chief engineer of China Power Construction Changlai Company, said that the second phase of the project is expected to be put into operation this year.
At the acceptance meeting of the first phase of the project, the Engineering Quality Supervision Bureau of the Hubei Provincial Communications Department listened to the construction summary report, the quality self-evaluation report and the quality evaluation report of the supervision unit. The pile foundation test report, high strain test report, self-balancing test report, relevant raw material test records, process test report and construction process data were inspected in detail. Finally, the acceptance team agreed that the construction data of the first phase of Xishui Mine Project were complete, the site entity met the design documents and contract requirements, and the first phase of the project passed the acceptance smoothly.
The Xishui Mine Project is the concrete practice of China Power Construction to devote itself to the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Zone and serve the national strategy. At the same time, the project will further improve the green building materials industry chain in Xishui County, promote local employment and promote economic development. In the next step, Sishui Mine Project Department will continue to implement the company's strategic plan of "steady growth and development", relying on Sishui Mine Wharf Project, continue to cultivate "green sand and gravel" related industries, and "add bricks and tiles" to the company's business development.
