GGII optimistically predicts that China's shipments of electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment are expected to reach 1.6 GW in 2023, and will grow rapidly to 86 GW by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 81% from 2022 to 2030.

Through detailed data and cases, the Blue Book makes an in-depth analysis of the current situation, development trend, market situation and development prospects of four hydrogen production technologies by electrolyzing water, namely, alkaline, PEM, AEM and SOEC.

The Blue Book clearly States that

alkaline hydrogen production has the advantages of relatively mature technology, simple structure, safety and stability, and relatively low cost. It is the mainstream hydrogen production technology route at this stage. At present, it has successfully realized large-scale manufacturing and application, occupied the main market share, and has great potential for development.

In the future, alkaline electrolyzers will be developed in three aspects: high hydrogen production, low energy consumption and rapid response. GGII suggests that it is necessary to focus on the optimization of key materials for alkaline electrolyzers, the innovation of the body structure, and the lightweight management.

At present, there are more than 50 major enterprises of alkaline hydrogen production equipment in China (some of them have PEM hydrogen production at the same time), which have been working in the field of alkaline hydrogen production for a long time, such as Longji and other leading enterprises from photovoltaic and other fields.

In recognition of model enterprises and excellent brands, the organizers of the conference also awarded awards to some enterprises in the new energy industry chain and enterprises with outstanding contributions to the application market, and Longji Hydrogen Energy was awarded the honorary title of "2023 New Energy Pioneer Award".

At the meeting, Xue Weiru, Director of Strategic Development of Longji Hydrogen Energy, delivered a keynote speech on "Green Hydrogen Helps Achieve Carbon Neutralization". "Hydrogen energy, as an important part of the future national energy system, plays an important role in accelerating the transition of energy to'net zero 'emissions," she said. Green hydrogen will play an important role in achieving carbon peak and carbon neutralization in China and make a significant contribution to the strategic goal of reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
