On April 14, Follett , a photovoltaic glass giant , issued an announcement. JinkoSolar and its subsidiaries plan to purchase about 77 GW photovoltaic glass for photovoltaic modules from Flat and its subsidiaries from 2024 to 2025, and the specific order price will follow the market and be determined by both parties through monthly negotiation.
The Company expects to sell approximately 489.5 million square meters of photovoltaic glass. Based on the current market price, the total sales amount is estimated to be approximately RMB10.524 billion (tax inclusive).
This is the second big order signed by Follett in less than 10 days.
On April 6, Follett, the leader of photovoltaic glass, announced that the company had signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Zhengtai Xinneng and its 16 subsidiaries to sell photovoltaic rolled glass. The two sides agreed that Zhengtai Xinneng would purchase about 378 million square meters of photovoltaic rolled glass from Flat from July 2023 to December 2025. It is estimated that the total sales amount of photovoltaic glass in the above contract is about 8.051 billion yuan (including tax), accounting for about 52.27% of the audited main business income of Flat in 2022.
With the contract amount on April 14, the total contract amount in 2023 has reached 18.575 billion yuan , which has greatly exceeded the main business income in 2022.
According to the annual report of Flat in 2022, Flat achieved operating income of 15.461 billion yuan in 2022.
Flat's contract amount surge can not be separated from the high prosperity and high demand of the photovoltaic industry .
In 2022, China's newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 87.41 gigawatts, an increase of 59.3% over the same period last year, once again setting a record for the newly installed capacity, ranking first in the world for 10 consecutive years.
According to the forecast of China Photovoltaic Industry Association, the global new installed capacity will reach 280-330 GW in 2023, and the new installed capacity of photovoltaic in China will reach 95-120 GW, accounting for more than 30% of the global new installed capacity.
