In order to expand the renewable energy supply chain in the international market, on August 7, 2023, Suntech Power and Vena Energy, an Indonesian renewable energy company, formally signed a purchase agreement for photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 2.5g W (hereinafter referred to as the "purchase agreement") in Jakarta, the capital. This time, the purchase agreement signed by Vena Energy and Suntech Power aims to explore opportunities to establish more local solar photovoltaic module production lines in Indonesia. In the future, these photovoltaic modules will be used to support the Riau Islands hybrid large-scale project being developed by Vena Energy. When completed, the project will have a 2.5g W photovoltaic power generation system, which is one of the most important renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia.
