Invest 9 billion! Its sub-100000 tons of high-purity silicon project was put into operation.

On November 30, Xinjiang Qiya Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. , located in Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xinjiang, put into operation the first phase of the project with an annual output of 100000 tons of high-purity silicon, and actively built a "100 billion" grade silicon-based new material industrial park for Zhundong Development Zone. Accelerate the formation of silicon-based new material industry cluster and add new impetus.

Qiya Group Co., Ltd. established Xinjiang Qiya Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. in Zhundong Development Zone in March 2022. Its core product is high-purity silicon with an annual output of 400,000 tons, which can be used in new energy industry, manufacturing industry, power generation and other fields. The first phase of the project with an annual output of 100000 tons of high-purity silicon covers an area of about 1000 mu, with an investment of over 9 billion yuan . The second phase of the project with an annual output of 100000 tons of high-purity silicon has been started on August 1 this year and is expected to be put into operation in October 2024.

"The successful commissioning of the first phase of the project marks that the layout of Qiya Group in the field of new energy has entered a substantive stage of operation." Tong Wenqi, chairman of Qiya Group Co., Ltd., introduced that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the company invested more than 60 billion yuan in Xinjiang to build a project with an annual output of 400000 tons of metallic silicon, 400000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon and 100000 tons of monocrystalline silicon.
