Group Co., Ltd., was awarded by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. CIP) was selected as the preferred supplier for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O & M) to deliver its Summerfield energy storage project in South Australia. The
240 MW/480 MWh Summerfield Energy Storage Project is strategically located in the Murraylands region east of Adelaide, South Australia. It is the first of a number of large-scale energy storage projects led by the Copenhagen Infrastructure Partnership (CIP) in Australia. The project is scheduled to be built in 2025 and uses the SolBank energy storage system of Atlas e-STORAGE.
The SolBank energy storage system will serve as a key energy storage facility to enhance the stability of the regional power grid. Store excess power when demand is low and deliver it back to the grid during peak periods. This is essential to ensure that South Australia, Victoria and the wider National Grid provide a continuous, cost effective supply of electricity.
