In order to ensure the scientific, rational, standardized and orderly exploitation of river sand in the main stream of the Dongjiang River, on April 7, Lin Zhiwei, a member of the Party Committee of the Dongjiang Bureau of Guangdong Province and a fourth-level researcher, led a team to investigate the mineable areas of the river sand mining plan and the arrangement of sand yards in the Huizhou reach of the main stream of the Dongjiang River in 2024. Mao Xinchun, deputy director of Huizhou Water Conservancy Bureau, and comrades in charge of water administration departments of relevant counties and districts participated in the research activities.
The research team visited the planned minable areas and sand yards in Guanyinge Town, Boluo County, Huizhou City, the main stream of the Dongjiang River, and Luzhou Town, Huicheng District, and listened to relevant reports to gain an in-depth understanding of the river sand mining plan in 2024.
The research team requests that the requirements of "Sand Mining Planning for Major Rivers in Guangdong Province (2021-2025)" be strictly implemented, and that the prohibited and mineable areas of river sand in Huizhou section of the main stream of Dongjiang River in 2024 be rationally delimited. According to the actual situation of the river course, the mining plan should be formulated scientifically, the mining conditions should be clearly controlled, and the corresponding sand yards should be reasonably matched.
