The installed capacity of renewable energy in China exceeds that of coal-fired power.

According to the data released by the

National Energy Administration on July 31, the installed capacity of renewable energy in China reached 1.322 billion kilowatts by the end of June, historically exceeding that of coal-fired power, accounting for 48.8% of the total installed capacity in China.

Data show that the total installed capacity of power generation in China has reached 2.71 billion kilowatts, an increase of 10.8% over the same period last year. Among them, the installed capacity of hydropower is 418 million kilowatts, the installed capacity of wind power is 389 million kilowatts, the installed capacity of photovoltaic power is 470 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity of biomass power is 43 million kilowatts. & nbsp; & nbsp;

With the rapid growth of the installed capacity of renewable energy, the demand for various types of regulated power sources in the power system has increased rapidly, the implementation of new energy storage projects has been accelerated, and the installed capacity has continued to increase rapidly. By the end of June, the total installed capacity of new energy storage has exceeded 17.33 million kilowatts/35.8 million kilowatt-hours, with an average energy storage time of about 2 hours. From January to June, the newly installed capacity was about 8.63 million kilowatts/17.72 million kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to the total installed capacity of previous years.

In the first half of the year, the total electricity consumption of the whole society was 4.3 trillion kWh, an increase of 5% over the same period last year. China generated 1.34 trillion kilowatt-hours of renewable energy, including 729.1 billion kilowatt-hours of wind power and photovoltaic power, up 23.5% year on year.
