On April 6, the fifth meeting of the Sino-French Entrepreneurs Committee was held in Great Hall of People. President Xi Jinping and French President Mark Long jointly attended the closing ceremony of the meeting and delivered speeches. The conference was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Economy, Finance, Industry and Digital Sovereignty of France, and co-sponsored by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products and the France-China Committee, aiming at building a platform for exchanges between enterprises of the two countries and promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. More than 180 representatives from the two governments, embassies, trade associations and entrepreneurs attended the meeting. Zhou Yuxian, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Building Material Group, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Building Material Corporation, was invited to attend the meeting as a representative of Chinese enterprises in the Enterprise Committee, and made a speech on the theme of "Cooperation for Prosperity and Development: Digital Economy, Industrial Transformation, Consumption and Health".
Zhou Yuxian said in his speech that China Building Materials Group is the world's largest comprehensive building materials industry group, the world's leading new material developers and integrated service providers, and is also the leader of China's building materials industry in "going out" to participate in the construction of "the Belt and Road", and is striving to build a world-class material industry investment group with global competitiveness. In order to conform to the development trend of digital economy, China Building Materials Group is vigorously promoting the digitalization and intellectualization transformation of "whole process, whole chain" such as digitalization of R & D and design, intellectualization of production and operation, and agility of customer service. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China Building Materials Group has carried out fruitful and practical cooperation with French enterprises such as Fafu Group, Saint-Gobain Group and Lahao Group on new energy and new materials, engineering and technical services, energy saving and emission reduction, and digital upgrading. In particular, the upgrading and renovation project of the MK3 cement production line in Lahao, France, undertaken by China Building Materials Group, is the first project to adopt remote collaborative digital means to achieve visual construction, delivering not only a physical factory, but also a digital factory, as well as the first cement project in Europe to meet the new environmental protection standards. Zhou Yuxian also said that China Building Materials Group will carry out President Xi Jinping's mission of "people first, with the world in mind" and "materials create a better world", and hope to cooperate with French partners in many ways. One is the development of digitalization and greening. Strengthen joint design, technology research and development and standard formulation, and build or renovate cement and glass production lines around intelligent manufacturing, energy efficiency management, energy saving and emission reduction. Second, new materials and new energy cooperation. Focusing on circular economy and low-carbon technology, we will strengthen investment cooperation in new energy fields such as wind power, photoelectricity, hydrogen energy and new material technology and equipment. Third, deepen the development of third-party market. It combines China's technological equipment advantages with France's high-end technology to form a joint force to jointly develop the third-party market. At the same time, Zhou Yuxian suggested that the Sino-French Enterprise Committee should continue to build various forms of communication platforms, build sharing mechanisms, strengthen the integration of interests, create cooperation highlights, help Sino-French enterprise cooperation to achieve more new results, and better serve the overall situation of Sino-French strategic partnership.
The Sino-French Entrepreneurs Committee, established in 2018 under the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of France, is mainly to build a platform for business cooperation between the two countries, establish a long-term and institutional dialogue mechanism between business leaders of the two countries, and promote the continuous upgrading of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The committee consists of a Council composed of representatives of about 15 enterprises from each country, covering advanced manufacturing, agricultural food, biomedicine, financial services and other fields. At this meeting, representatives of 14 Chinese enterprises such as Bank of China and 12 French enterprises such as BNP Paribas exchanged speeches on the two topics of "meeting global challenges hand in hand and promoting prosperity and development through cooperation", and put forward suggestions on deepening Sino-French economic and trade cooperation. The participating enterprises expressed that they would deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides in the fields of nuclear energy, aviation, pharmaceuticals, finance, agricultural food, consumption, new energy and new materials, jointly maintain the stability and smoothness of the industrial chain and supply chain between China and France, and contribute to the wisdom of China and France in meeting global challenges and promoting the recovery of the world economy.
