On July 28, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangxi Province announced the proposed approval of the environmental impact report of Xinyu Saiwei Energy's annual output of 600MW HJT high-efficiency heterojunction photovoltaic cell production line project.
The announcement shows that the project is located at 1950 Saiwei Avenue, Xinyu High-tech Zone, Jiangxi Province, and the construction unit is Xinyu Saiwei Energy Technology Co., Ltd., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangxi Haiyuan Composite Material Technology Co., Ltd. It is mainly engaged in manufacturing of photovoltaic equipment and components, sales of photovoltaic equipment and components, import and export of goods, etc. At present,
the company has been building a project with an annual output of 2.1GW of N-type high-efficiency photovoltaic cells, the specific type of which is TOPCon cells. On March 2, 2023, Xinyu High-tech Ecological Environment Bureau replied to the Environmental Impact Report on the Project of Annual Output of 2.1G WN-type High-efficiency Photovoltaic Cells of Xinyu LDK Energy Technology Co., Ltd. with YGHSZ [2023] No.9. After the completion of the project, the annual output of N-type high-efficiency photovoltaic cells will be 2.1G W (about 6,000 pieces 27631/a).
In order to meet the market demand, improve the competitiveness of enterprises, expand product types and output, Xinyu Saiwei Energy Technology Co., Ltd. intends to invest 35480 million yuan, lease the existing plant of Jiangxi Saiwei LDK Solar Energy High-tech Co., Ltd. to build HJT photovoltaic cell production line, of which 3-32 # and 3-33 # plant are built as production workshop, and the existing plant of Jiangxi Saiwei LDK Solar Energy High-tech Co., Ltd. The 3-34 # plant is constructed as a special gas station and power station, and the main production processes include texturing, chemical deposition, physical deposition, grid line deposition (including printing and copper plating), tin plating, finished product testing, etc., and auxiliary facilities and environmental protection facilities are provided. After the completion of the project, the annual output will be 600MW HJT high-efficiency heterojunction photovoltaic cells (110 million pieces).
