Recently, China Cement Network learned that in 2022, China Resources Cement will control six new mine resources in Guangxi, Hubei and Chongqing through bidding, mergers and acquisitions, and equity participation.
In 2022, CR Cement actively seized new business development opportunities and gave full play to the synergistic advantages of cement, concrete and aggregate. The aggregate and artificial stone business achieved rapid development, the business structure optimization achieved initial results, and the proportion of new business assets and revenue continued to increase.
Taking aggregate as an example, in 2022, China Resources Cement will continue to actively acquire high-quality aggregate mine resources and accelerate the construction and production of aggregate projects. In 2022, Huarun Cement controlled six new mine resources in Guangxi, Hubei and Chongqing through bidding, mergers and acquisitions, and equity participation.
As of the end of 2022, relying on the cement mines, the annual aggregate production capacity (including trial production) owned by CR Cement through its subsidiaries is approximately 48.4 million tonnes, and the annual aggregate production capacity attributable to CR Cement through its equity interests in its associates in Yunnan and Fujian is approximately 3.1 million tonnes. In addition to the newly acquired aggregate projects, upon completion, the annual aggregate production capacity in operation and under construction controlled by CR Cement through its subsidiaries is expected to reach 137.1 million tonnes, and the attributable annual aggregate production capacity in operation and under construction controlled by its equity interests in its associates and joint ventures will be approximately 13.6 million tonnes.
