On July 27, statistics released by Shanxi Statistical Bureau showed that in the first half of the year, the added value of industries above the provincial scale increased by 3.9% year on year.
In terms of three categories, in the first half of the year, the added value of the mining industry increased by 2.1%, the manufacturing industry increased by 8.3%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 4.5%.
From the perspective of economic types, in the first half of the year, the added value of state-owned holding enterprises in the province increased by 4.3%, that of joint-stock enterprises increased by 4.3%, that of foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises increased by 2.2%, and that of private enterprises decreased by 2.2%. In the first half of the year, the added value of the coal industry increased by 2.5%, the coking industry decreased by 2%, the iron and steel industry decreased by 4.6%, the non-ferrous metal industry decreased by 6.8%, the power industry increased by 6.1%, the equipment manufacturing industry decreased by 4.8%, and the chemical industry increased by 5.2%. The building materials industry decreased by 10.5% , the food industry by 15.4%, the pharmaceutical industry by 5.9%, the coalbed methane mining industry by 17.4%, the thermal gas industry by 0.5%, and the comprehensive utilization of waste resources by 75.3%. In the
first half of the year, the output of photovoltaic cells increased by 13.5%, steel by 10.8%, power generation by 7%, raw coal by 5.2%, raw chemicals by 3.2%, raw aluminium by 3.1%, pig iron by 0.9%, refined methanol by 1.4%, and the output of major industrial products in the province increased by 13.5%, steel by 10.8%, power generation by 7%, raw coal by 5.2%, raw chemicals by 3.2%, raw aluminium by 3.1%, pig iron by 0.9%, and refined methanol by 1.4%. Coke decreased by 2.6%, crude steel decreased by 2.7%, cement decreased by 4.1% , alumina decreased by 9.4%, graphite and carbon products decreased by 12.1%, mobile communication handsets (mobile phones) decreased by 30%, and new energy vehicles decreased by 47.9%.
