On November 16, Ms. Katarina Barunica, Industrial Development Officer of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and her delegation visited China Building Materials Federation. Liu Jianhua, Vice President of China Building Materials Federation, met with Katarina Barunica and her delegation.
The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation and jointly promoting the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of the building materials industry, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions in the following three aspects: First, the two sides established a joint working group, each appointing relevant staff to establish a long-term, effective and stable communication mechanism and a regular meeting mechanism for the leadership; Second, the two sides will strive to cooperate in activities such as special research on carbon emission reduction in the field of building materials and the international forum on carbon emission reduction in the building materials industry, so as to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among international building materials counterparts; third, the two sides will further study the joint establishment of the "China Building Materials Industry Low Carbon Development Promotion Center" and work together to promote the process of carbon emission reduction in the building materials industry. the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Li Ning, a project officer of the representative office in China, and Shen Yulu, director of the International Cooperation Department of the Federation, attended the talks.
