In order to further enhance the ability of river sand and gravel supervision in the whole province, according to the unified arrangement of the Water Resources Department, from February 27 to March 2, the second inspection team led by Ye Yong, the chief planner of Luzhou Water Affairs Bureau, went to Nanchong City, Neijiang City and Meishan City to carry out cross-checking of river sand mining management, and the relevant responsible comrades of the Provincial River and Lake Center participated in the inspection.
The inspection team arrived at Chenjiaba Sand and Stone Factory in Yilong County, Nanchong City, Wenjiang Wharf in Chonglong Town, Neijiang City, and Chengdong Power Station in Hongya County, Meishan City. Relevant information such as "Establishment and Implementation of Responsibility System", "Implementation of Planning Permission", "Construction and Management of River Sand Mining Site", "Management of Dredging Sand", "Rectification of Sand-related Problems and Management of Prohibited Mining" were consulted, and symposiums were held in the inspected cities and counties to understand the management of river sand mining in detail, and opinions were exchanged on the problems found. During the
inspection, Ye Yong demanded that we should further implement our responsibilities, improve measures and strengthen management to ensure that the problem of sand mining in rivers does not rebound and that the order of sand and gravel supervision continues to improve. With the opportunity of this cross-check, we should exchange and learn from advanced experience to continuously improve the management level of sand mining in rivers in the region.
