It is reported that on November 10, Guangdong RongNa New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "RongNa New Energy"), a supplier of hard carbon anode materials for sodium-ion batteries, completed tens of millions of yuan of A-round financing , which was led by Funeng Industrial Capital Jingfu Fund and followed by cornerstone capital. Bridge capital continues to increase investment.
It is understood that this is the fourth round of financing completed by RongNa New Energy this year, following the exclusive angel round investment of yuanlai Capital, the Pre-a round led by Fenghe Capital, the Pre-a + round invested by Bridge Capital and Qingliu Capital. The company was founded by a "production-learning-research" team composed of senior industry experts and professors from South China University of Technology, and is headquartered in Nansha District, Guangzhou.
RongNa New Energy has a wholly-owned subsidiary, Fujian RongNa New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., which mainly undertakes the production of hard carbon anode materials. At present, it has built 10000 tons of precursor production line and 2000 tons of high temperature carbonization line to achieve stable mass production and shipment .
Rong Na New Energy insists on choosing large-scale plant biomass as raw material, and steadily prepares hard carbon products that meet customer needs in batches. At present, the company has two mature products, the specific capacity of RNHC-C1 is 300mAh/G, and the first coulombic efficiency is 93%; the specific capacity of RNHC-B1 is 330mAh/G, and the first coulombic efficiency is 93%. Another laboratory product, RNHC-A1, has a specific capacity of 360mAh/G and a first coulombic efficiency of 93%.
Through the third-party enterprise information platform search, as of October 27, 2023, there are 112 enterprises whose business scope includes the production or sale of sodium-ion batteries; 816 enterprises have patents related to sodium-ion batteries.
Among them, 28 enterprises with sodium-ion battery business have carried out capital financing around 2023, while 21 enterprises with financing were established after 2021.
As of October 27, 2023, there are two A-share main board listed companies, one GEM listed company and one new third board listed company in China's sodium-ion battery track; 11start-ups have obtained angel round financing in 2023; 7 enterprises are in the intermediate financing stage from pre-A round to C + round.
