the National Bureau of Statistics announced the situation of energy production in October 2023. In October, the production of major energy products in industries above the scale continued to grow year-on-year. The growth rate of

raw coal production has accelerated, and imports have increased rapidly. In October, 390 million tons of raw coal were produced, up 3.8% year-on-year, 3.4 percentage points faster than in September, with an average daily output of 12.54 million tons. Coal imports were 35.99 million tons, up 23.3% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 4.5 percentage points lower than that in September.
